THE PDGA IS A NON PROFIT DISC GOLF GOVERNING BODY

    The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) is the global governing body for the sport of disc golf. It is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit membership organization dedicated to the promotion and sustainable growth of disc golf.

    Founded in 1976:  It is the oldest and largest disc golf organization in the world, boasting over 200,000 lifetime members across 54 countries.

    Mission: The PDGA works to develop the sport through:

    • Tournament: development: Sanctioning professional and amateur events at all levels.
    • Course development:  Providing resources and guidelines for establishing high-quality disc golf courses.
    • Rules and standards:  Maintaining the official rules of disc golf and ensuring fair competition.

    • Public education and outreach:   Educating people about the benefits and enjoyment of disc golf. 
    • Membership: Individuals can join the PDGA as amateur or professional members, gaining access to tournament participation, ratings, insurance, and other benefits. 
    • Website: The PDGA website is a valuable resource for disc golfers, offering information about tournaments, courses, rules, news, and more.
