WHY DISC GOLF IS YOUR NEW FAVORITE SPORT!

Disc golf combines the basic concept of golf with frisbees. The objective is simple: complete a course by throwing your disc into a basket in the fewest throws possible. There are designated teeing areas for each hole, just like a golf course.

Similar to regular golf, there are penalties for throws that land out of bounds or go in unexpected places. Safety and courtesy are important aspects of the game. You should avoid throwing when others are in the way and be mindful of your surroundings. Many courses weave through parks or natural areas, so keeping an eye out for other park users and respecting the environment is essential.

Just like golfers have various clubs, disc golfers have an arsenal of discs for different situations. Distance drivers are for launching bombs down long fairways, while mid-range discs offer more control for accurate approaches to the basket.Putters, as you might guess, are for those clutch shots that land in the basket for a birdie (one throw under par).
